Plan for the Holidays!

For about ten years I 've been talking about starting my own business. I have spent years on helping others (my employers) to achieve their business goals and putting their needs before my own. Since the birth of my son I noticed changes in my attitude. I WANT TO GET PAID FOR MY WORK AND MY IDEAS.
It became clear to me that the only way to ensure that is to work for myself. I've been delaying the start-up process as I was never sure of a single idea worth developing. As many people, I have talents, skills, and education. But what sets me apart from others? Being able to adapt and multitask doesn't really mean I excel at something that would create an income.
After an extensive research I decided to keep my day job (for now) and keep working on my ideas and keep developing them. Since starting a physical business requires finances, I decided to explore something more flexible and more virtual.
I love crafts, knitting and crocheting to be specific. I know about etsy.com and ebay.com, both great sites with endless possibilities. However, I feel that they overpower the individual and one becomes just another etsy or ebay seller. My etsy store can be viewed here: https://www.etsy.com/people/daceozo?ref=si_pr
I value the money I have made on both of them, but it is time for me to become proactive and explore a little further. So the big plan for this year is to earn extra $2000 to $5000 during this year's Holiday/Christmas Season!!!

I know it is only the end of May but according to my plan this is the time to start materializing my ideas. I plan to create a significant amount of crocheted Christmas decorations and ornaments and sell them personally at a craft stand. To remain inspired and stick to my plan, I will post my progress here for everyone to see. Comments welcome!!!
Preview of more to come...
